I am a Barrister and an Expert in Inter-Country Adoption. A former Senior Magistrate, I chaired the Central Authority for Intercountry Adoption at the Prime Minister’s Office in Mauritius for 27 years. I am the author of the books The Maker of Miracles (2006) , My Journey With God(2008) and SOUL POETRY 2015. I am actively engaged in the spiritual and philanthropic world. A dreamer I love to write inspirational poetry, stories and quotes.
This blog is a collection of poetry, short stories and quotes that I pen down when inspiration nudge me and words start to flow from my fountain pen like drops of ambrosia on a starving script.
It is the only venue opened to me to release my passion and my smoldering energy of carving on paper
In the Executive, I wrote Bills of Parliament, drafted Acts and other legal documents. Finally in 1990, I joined other adoption experts at the Hague Conference on Private International Law to draft what was going to be in 1993, the Hague Convention of 29 May 1993 on Protection of Children and Co-operation in Respect of Intercountry Adoption.
I also wrote unpublished stories about children and parents who were parties to intercountry adoption, the stories behind the scene including abuses, trafficking, corruption and related matters.
Nonetheless, I wrote and published three books. The first two books-The Maker of Miracles (2006) and My Journey with God (2008) are narrations of my experiences with my guru Sri Sathya Sai Baba. In Hinduism, it is believed that a disciple should offer to his preceptor a ‘guru dakshina’ after completion of his stage of learning. These two books I offered to my guru as ‘dakshina’ for enlightening me.
We never talked but he heard my every moan, every desire, and every prayer. He liberated me from the shackles of mundane life, showered blessings of mental peace and bliss on me to allow me the freedom of being I.

I spend my time between London and Mauritius to enjoy the company of my children and grandchildren.
